Wiki

I guess there is something wrong with my laptop. I tried to add something on Wiki, but it didnt work. I had to keep refreshing it…

I think Wiki is more formal than blog. Blog is like a medium where students could communicate their ideas and what they thought. Wiki could be more formal that teachers could post the whole curriculum and brief lesson plans on it. Moreover, students could involve in the construction of learning. That is to say, Wiki is not only resource of language learning, but also a medium that students could share their understanding about language.

My experience of Second Life

When I joined in Second life, I don’t know why I could not see the avatars in my laptop, so I had to register it in the computer lab. Anyway, now I installed it and really enjoy it. Actually I found it looks like the popular game “The Sims”. In this case, students could have great fun while learning languages in second life. However, I don’t know how to use it to teach language, frankly. Could anyone tell me? Thanks a lot!!!

Something about blog

Actually the blog for me is a kind of stuff that people could record their life just like journals. It could be funny, happy, simple, sad ect. The blogs I have read most are about daily life and travel, social comments sometimes. Most of them belong to my friends, so I could know what they are doing. If I’ve got the same attitude or feelings with the writer, I would like to write down my comments to share mine.

Blog for language learning is such a nice idea. Teachers could post some additional information which could be aid to language learning. On the other hand, students could share their own opinion about what they learn. I think I would use blog as one of my teaching tools.
